Mock interviews at Birchensale Middle School
Today Paul James and Sarah James were at Birchensale Middle School in Redditch to support mock interviews with the year 8 students. It is important for schools to provide career events as they are a great way to engage with young people and an opportunity to share knowledge and help with building confidence with mock interviews.
Students in year 8 are starting to think about what will happen when they go to High school in September. With the next important decision about GCSEs and which subjects they enjoy and may want to study in the future.
Mock interviews are an opportunity for the students to build confidence, talk about their family, hobbies and interests. Find out which subjects they enjoy and explaining why, as well as the chance to improve listening skills and how to communicate with others.
Paul James, Innovation Director “It was a great opportunity for Savient to be represented at the mock interviews today. I always these events insightful when meeting the students as they really can talk about anything they enjoy inside and outside of school. I hope it has given them some more confidence and conversation skills to help them in the future”
Another great opportunity of how members of the Savient Limited team are able to continue our support with the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and we look forward to working with other schools in the future.
Below is a word cloud capturing some of those conversations we have had with the students today - we really have had great and open conversations with the students.
