Savient's Keep Active Week 2024

Savient's Keep Active Week 2024

Well done to everyone in the Savient Limited team! 👏

Yesterday concluded our keep active week 2024, it was great to see such a range of keep active activities, involving colleagues, family and friends and of course not forgetting our four-legged friends.

The team achieved a total of 61 hours of activities throughout the week and included members of the team getting involved with archery practice, local walks, cycling, gym sessions, yoga relaxation, tennis coaching and running we certainly do have a talented bunch of sports people as well as talented software engineers and consultants.

So today we are back at the day job but certainly not forgetting the importance of keeping activity and continuing with these good habits. Doing regular physical activity reduces your risk of having a heart attack or developing heart disease. Keeping active helps to control common disease risk factors including:

🧡high blood pressure

🧡high cholesterol

🧡being overweight

Being physically active is very important for your physical and mental health and any amount of physical activity, however small is good for you. Enjoying a walk, jog, run, cycle, or swim are great ways to clear your head and stay active and activities you can enjoy with family and friends. Fresh air and sunshine can help to improve sleep, give you energy and improve your overall health including reducing stress and depression.

We raised money for Cheltenham based charity Move More and our donations will be helping them provide sport sessions to children and to instil a love of physical activity within all children, so they develop a positive, lifelong attitude to moving more.

We think a picture really does say a thousand words and here’s some our favourites taken during the week. We are running a competition for photos, and we will be selecting some the team have taken to be displayed in our office in the coming weeks from the team.
